This short, auto-marked programme will provide you with the knowledge required in order to understand the importance of exercise and fitness.
This course is highly beneficial for general knowledge, and also acts to a great addition to your CV. The course is completed online with auto-marked assessments, and because of this can be completed in your own time.
The course has three main sections:
Section 1: Exercise
In this section, the learner will understand the important role exercise plays in maintaining general health and well-being, the types of activities that can improve health and fitness and also why we need to exercise.
Section 2: Nutrition
Learners will cover the nutritional guidelines for a healthy diet and explains how nutrition affects our health and fitness.
Section 3: Anatomy and physiology
This section will help learners understand the different systems in the human body, including the different terms associated with each system, and also what effects exercise has on these systems.

If you take up a place on a College course, at the start of the course you will be asked to complete an enrolment form. In completing the form and/or taking up a place on a College course, you will enter into a contract with the College and be bound by the North East Scotland College Standard Terms and Conditions of Study.
